A new money making opportunity by the name The Paper Wave is slowly making waves in the Kenyan market. I first came across it on X-tian Dela’s Whatsapp statuses on Tuesday morning and got interested because he described it as the Kenyan Bitcoin. I’m a huge crypto enthusiast, you can check my YouTube Channel where I break down cryptocurrencies and advise people how to make wise investments on the future of money. My 5 Major Blogging Challenges and How You can overcome

I have been blogging since 2017 and to say the least, it’s not a walk in the park. Blogging challenges have done a number on me. Some days I wake up glad that I do this full time, other days I wake up wishing I could just get a normal job and join the rat race. When you don’t have much to show for your work, the energy to push forward is greatly diminished. It gets even worse for me because I suffer from shiny-object-syndrome. In short anything that looks lucrative, you’re dead-right I’ll try it out. And I have so many ideas. So many great business ideas I think would change the world, haphazardly mashed up in my mind like pudding. I can spend days or weeks fantasizing about them. I act on some, most fail, and I’m forced to go back to my first baby; Kampusville. It sucks to be me. But it’s normal to be a great thinker at this young age. Yet time is not on our side. More than ever, I’ve realize the need to define a clear path and stick by it. Because that’s the only way anybody truly ge...

Digital Nomad Lifestyle - What does it Really Entail?

A pervasive image you see on social media is of a young adult by the side of a beach with a laptop on their laps and a glass of wine on their side. They call it the digital nomad lifestyle. Their story is a proclamation of a life of freedom and traveling while working from anywhere. They claim to be making enough money to sustain their lifestyle, which is only a dream for most people. But is this really the case for all of them? Or is there something we don’t know? Digital nomadism is a term that is mentioned whenever you discuss online careers. Yet, most people don’t really understand what it means and what it entails. The lifestyle and glamour that most people flaunt on social media depict a tiny percentage of these people’s lifestyle. You see glamour, freedom, happiness, financial stability, and many other things that you desire but behind the curtains is a life of pure hard work, complete confusion, and more struggles that you can ever imagine. If you have ever des...

Trending Topics in Kenya 2020; People, What is, Movies

2020 has been a year like no other. From America electing the first woman vice president to Coronavirus decimating populations worldwide, the year leaves an indelible mark in our memories as the most dramatic year of the decade. Yet Kenyans have had even more drama to take. Corruptions scandals, as always, have dominated the year, bringing to attention the infinite greed politicians and business people have to the extent of sacrificing thousands of lives to be richer. How do you steal money meant to protect Kenyans from Corona, a deadly virus? I mean, it’s just despicable what people can do out here. Meanwhile, the BBI mantra continues to resonate; some people hope it will solve Mwananchi’s problems while others see no actual benefit from the constitutional changes it suggests. Schools have closed throughout the year, forcing parents and children to spend more time together at home. Consequently, the modern families’ cracks have revealed themselves demonstrably courtesy of increas...

November 2020 Income Report: How I made $221 This Month

Image
I have been blogging since January 2016 and honestly, up to now, there’s not much I can show for it. Of course, I have made money in the process, accumulated mentions in the interwebs, nominated for bloggers awards and built a good reputation as a blogger. But looking at all I have achieved, nothing really stands out. This probably stems from the fact that I’ve been blogging as a hobby, working only when I feel like and maximizing on opportunities only when they come. Also, I have previously ignored the strategies of successful bloggers and tried to forge my unique way of making it in the industry. Turns out this is a bad idea. Lastly, I have been jumping from topic to topic and never really established myself as an authority in anything; the proverbial Jack of all trades. All these mistakes have cost me a lot of time and energy considering the measly incomes I have made from blogging in the last 3-4 years. To some, Ksh 10,000 per month might seem good enough. But for someone who has ...
